Case Study: Flexco

Client

Founded in 1907, Flexco is a privately held, manufacturing company striving to make belt conveyers more productive through superior products and sound advice.

Problem

Flexco came to IBC for aid in determining the optimal country in South America to initiate Belt Conveyer Products (BCP) manufacturing/warehousing operations.

Results

The IBC researched and analyzed the political, economic, social, technological, and environmental factors in several countries in South America. Based on this research, IBC determined that Chile, Brazil and Peru rank best to consider for the location of manufacturing, Chile being number one on the West Coast and Brazil being number one on the East Coast. IBC’s final recommendation was for Flexco to consider Brazil (Triangle Region) and Northern Chile as investment locations for manufacturing operations. Based on these recommendations, Flexco has since invested in South America, with very positive results.
