Weekly Focus – Ryan Whitsitt

Weekly Focus by Ryan Whitsitt, Senior Manager
Our sole intent at IBC is to serve/satisfy our clients, delivering them the highest quality product.  With consulting teams consisting entirely of students, it’s imperative to get outside counsel, both from our associate directors, as well as our clients, to develop the best presentations and projects.
The first step of the review process is to have an associate director attend a run-through of our presentation, or what we call our internal midpoint.  This is to ensure such qualitative concepts such as business professional appearance and conduct are met by all consultants, as well as to allow our director’s to share with us research methodologies, presentation ideas and other ideas they have gathered during their years of professional experience.
The true test is delivering the midpoint presentation to the client.  The main priority with the client midpoint presentation is to ensure that the consulting team is proceeding in a way that is desirable to the client.  The consulting and client teams can work together to steer the remainder of the project in the appropriate direction, and if any major changes are needed, we complete these reviews early enough in the process to allow for major deviations if/when needed.
Midpoint reviews, both internal and external, are critical in the current and future success of IBC!
