IBC is hiring

We are hiring for two part-time student positions in the IBC office. If you are interested, please email Angela Ronk at aronk@illinois.edu. Indicate which position you’re interested in, why you are interested, and attach your resume. Deadline to apply is August 28th.  Rate is $12/hr. We expect the person for each position will work both Fall and Spring semesters.

 

Position: Student Programmer

Summary: The Student Programmer is responsible for providing application support to the IBC application system and other systems as needed.

Hours per week: Approx. 10 hours per week

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Provide application support to the IBC application system
  2. Fix any bugs found in the IBC application system
  3. Take up enhancement work to improve usability & performance of the application system
  4. Consult/Coordinate with OIM team on issues related to the application system

 Qualifications

  • Proficient in ASP.Net  using C#, SQL programming, Javascript, Ajax
  • Prior website development experience is a must
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction

 

 

Position: Analyst, Office Coordinator

Summary: The Analyst, Office Coordinator is responsible for providing reports and analysis on IBC student data, client data, alumni data and project data. He/She is also responsible for providing support to IBC Staff and the Student Leadership Team.

Hours per week: 10-15 hours per week

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Create reports and proactively conduct analysis on IBC data to highlight areas of strength and opportunities for improvement. Create reports for bi-annual Board meetings and other meetings as needed
  2. Provide general administrative assistance to IBC staff and SLT, including: preparing project packets, collecting and tracking documentation, coordinating and assisting with events
  3. Attend weekly IBC staff meetings
  4. Complete special projects and related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Excellent MS Excel skills (ability to create and work with pivot tables and macros preferred)
  • Data mining and data analysis proficiency
  • Proactive, good time management skills, positive attitude, keeps commitments
