The future of higher ed, and why IBC matters

Paul Magelli, founder of IBC, recently shared this NYT article with me.  It speaks volumes about the direction of higher ed and hints at how universities can position themselves to survive against each other and against incoming “disrupters”.  It also underscores why IBC is so incredibly valuable. Dr. Magelli was ahead of his time when he started IBC over 15 years ago.

This might be my favorite quote from the article: Higher ed must move “from a model of ‘time served’ to a model of ‘stuff learned’. Because increasingly the world does not care what you know. Everything is on  Google. The world only cares, and will only pay for, what you can do with what you know.”
